We are a quiet, relaxed run site on part of a family working farm
The farm has Freisan, Holstein and Montebeliard herd and followers, with a smaller beef herd of Aberdeen Angus and Limousine cattle
Our 5 spacious pitches are all on gravel hard standing with their own individual electric hook up points.
Due to their design, we will be open all year round and in all weathers. So you can have piece of mind when booking ahead.
We also have a toilet on site, with a small kitchen area and Hot and Cold water. Washing machine is also there for you conveinence.
A small freezer offers Needwood homemade luxury Ice-cream, with an honesty pot so no-one will know just how much you’re indulging………
We also stock hen eggs from Sam who farms next door;
and some locally handmade craft items…
Each pitch also receives good television reception for the 5 main channels and good sky reception.
We have “Wi-Fi” available, just ask for the code.
Please understand, this is ”Wi-fi in a field” although the signal is good, there can be times when it behaves as the internet does, and not always how we want it to.
There is plenty of room on your pitch for an awning, and we recommend you use re-enforced metal pegs, due to the hard standing.
Pitches will also accomodate at least one vehicle, but extra parking is available should it be nessessary.
The site is surrounded by a landscape of rolling fields and woodland and is very private.
However many amenities and attractions are close by so your stay with us can be as relaxed or as action packed as you’d like.
The area is great for walking, either straight from our site or for just a short drive away. Lots of OS maps of these can be found on site in our little green shed (‘Tourist Information Centre’).
Please just help yourselves or feel free to ask for more info.
We are situated just 30 minutes from either the M1 ( J24a ) or the M6 ( J15 or 16 ) making us easily accessible and also makes our site an ideal base if you’re hoping to fit alot in.
Within 20 minutes by car will take you to the start of The Peak District and also the towns of Stafford, Derby, Leek and the Potteries.
Well behaved children are most welcome on our site and naturally parents will be fully responsible for them at all times.
As we are part of a working farm we request that guests do not feed the animals and remain on the actual CL site in the interests of their own safety.
Please feel free to bring your dogs but like most sites they will need to be on a lead at all times and cleared up after them. We can happily point you in the direction of some good walks too.
